چکیده
Abstract We present an interpretation of the phase diagram for a binary alloy from point view reaction dynamics. consider model system in which two-component liquid is ideal solution, but solid can be non-ideal, with its non-ideality increasing reducing temperature. show how ‘batch’ evolution solid–liquid system, interfacial growth rates are proportional to free energy differences, leads set four differential equations, whose equilibria correspond familiar solidus and liquidus curves. In addition, we explain transitions between them depend on bifurcation structure solutions. that locally stable mixed-phase solutions exist below eutectic temperature, thus providing alternative explanation observation super-cooled liquids, also why complete solidification ‘normally’ occurs despite fact this temperature has no intrinsic dynamic significance, being simply value at two completely different equilibrium states happen share common concentration.

Non-equilibrium fluctuation dissipation relations in binary glasses
We show that at short time aging is realized in a simple model of binary glasses. We find that below the transition point the off-equilibrium correlation functions and response functions are compatible with the relations that were originally derived Cugliandolo Kurchan for generalized spin glasses.
متن کاملEffect of the vacancy interaction on antiphase domain growth in a two-dimensional binary alloy
We have performed a Monte Carlo simulation of the influence of diffusing vacancies on the antiphase domain growth process in a binary alloy after a quench through an order-disorder transition. The problem has been modeled by means of a Blume-Emery-Griffiths Hamiltonian whose biquadratic coupling parameter K controls the microscopic interactions between vacancies. The asymmetric term L has been ...
متن کاملNon-equilibrium structure of the vapor-liquid interface of a binary fluid
The evaporation of a binary liquid mixture of monatomic species into near vacuum has been investigated by molecular dynamics simulations. It has been assumed that atomic interaction forces can be derived by Lennard-Jones potentials. Results are presented about surface composition changes induced by evaporation, the shape of the distribution functions of evaporating atoms. Estimates of evaporati...
متن کاملExistence for a stationary model of binary alloy solidification
— A proof of existence is given for a stationary model of alloy solidification. The System is composed ofheat équation, soluté équation and Navier-Stokes équations. In the latter, Carman-Kozeny penalization of porous medium models the mushy zone. The problem is first regularized and a séquence of regularized solutions is built thanks to Leray-Schauder's fixed point Theorem. A solution is then e...
